Born in Uganda and raised in the UK, Sonal’s story is one of resilience, passion, and breaking barriers.

Living with congenital hip dysplasia, hidden disabilities, and chronic pain, she refused to be defined by limitations — instead turning them into fuel for a life of purpose.

From rising through the civil service to becoming a celebrated celebrant, toastmaster, and public speaking expert at 50, Sonal is a trailblazer who uplifts communities, challenges stereotypes, and dares others to dream big.

✨ Highlights from this episode:

  • Growing up in Uganda and the UK while navigating hidden disabilities
  • Overcoming workplace bullying and thriving in the civil service
  • Reinventing herself at 50 and stepping into the events & public speaking world
  • Becoming one of the few Asian female celebrants and toastmasters in the UK
  • Championing inclusion for multicultural and LGBTQ couples
  • Why communication is the ultimate tool for confidence and mental health
