Toastmaster and Celebrant

Public Speaking, Communicating in Confidence, Storytelling & Interview Skills

Why do I need a toastmaster?

Having a Toastmaster will allow you to have a stress free day. I will work with your planner and other suppliers to ensure what is expected to happen does happen and I will make sure your guests are where they should be. I will add gravitas to your event in my uniform and ensure entrances, the first dance, speeches etc are managed in a way that you or the speaker are the focus of attention (not the bar). You have a safe pair of hands wanting you to have an extra special day.

What’s the difference between a celebrant and a registrar?

A registrar is appointed and will conduct the legal marriage. They are bound by laws of what can and can't be included. A Celebrant will conduct the wedding ceremony. This is where I can create a personalised ceremony that reflects your personality. You can include whoever you want, have live music, including your pets and so much more. It's your day - your way

Will you write the service for me?

Yes - I will write the ceremony for you. Once you book me, I will send you a questionnaire to both fill in and based on your answers I will start to draft your ceremony. You will get sent a draft and we can then add, amend etc till we are all happy.

Why is it important to learn Public Speaking Skills?

If you have strong Public Speaking Skills, they can help you survive the roller coaster of life including at home, school, college, university, work and more.

What are Public Speaking Skills?

Public Speaking Skills include understanding Body Language, Voice Control, How to engage who you are speaking to, self-acceptance and more.

How old do you have to be to start learning these skills?

My online courses start from the age of 4 and are taught using animation, video and activities. They are a fun way to spend time with your child while they learn as well as help older children and adults develop existing skills as well as learn new ones.

Is it true Public Speaking can only happen when there are lots of people in front of you?

No. Public Speaking Skills can happen with one other person as well as many more.

Is it more important to learn Public Speaking Skills or get good grades?

It is important to do well in both. The grades can help you get into the courses and careers of your choice. Public Speaking Skills will help you for life as you will have learnt many skills to be able to succeed and support you. You will also be able to stand up for yourself as well as say what you are feeling, hearing and seeing which will also support your mental health.

What is storytelling?

Storytelling is an art through the use of words. Its a way to engage and excite others to want to hear more. When you have your own story its great to be able to use some examples when talking to others. People love to hear about people.

Why should you learn Storytelling Skills?

Learning the art of Storytelling is like learning the recipe of a cake or a meal. Once you master this art and your own story you will find that people will want to stay around and listen to more.
