If you are looking for a venue that can work for a wedding or a corporate event, and you want your guests to go home feeling very spoiled, then do go and have a look at Claridges in Mayfair.
Carlidges is an art-deco grand venue that has hosted royalty and state banquets for many years. It is also the home of fine dining and everything grand but a little twist of the twenties.
Weddings & Events at Claridges London
You are met by the door men, who are dressed in their uniform and will direct you to where you need to go. The venue can host both the intimate and up to 400 guests but it all depends on how you wish to set up the event room. This can be rows, horseshoe, round tables etc so do discuss with your wedding and venue manager before you confirm guest numbers.
You can choose the Ballroom and reception area, which is mirrored throughout, allowing you to check your outfit, hair and makeup regularly. The Highgrove is more intimate for numbers less than 30 people. There are other rooms that you can choose as well. I would always suggest going and having a look if you can. As a little extra for a wedding, if you do have more than 60 guests, you will get a complimentary suite and there will be special rates for your guests.
Parking for Events at Claridges
As with most London venues, parking is either at an NCP car park or for Claridges the closest is the Parkbee Care Park on Grosvenor Hill. There are also some parking meters that are in front of the venue,but do remember to pay your congestion charge. You also have the option of booking a taxi.
So do give your guests enough time on invitations to get to parking or find parking, and meet and greet/canapes time so they can enjoy all the celebrations and missing out as they could not find parking.
Claridges Catering and Facilities
The menu at Claridges, whether its for a wedding breakfast, lunch or dinner, is very British, but I did notice pani puri on the menu, so do ask about what the options are if you are looking for cuisine from different cultures. The presentation and service of the food is very professional and on point. What do I mean by on point? If you have said that you want the wedding breakfast to start at midday, it will be ready for midday and staff will be waiting for the instruction to start serving.
The washrooms near the event rooms are very clean. They are cleaned regularly and the staff are happy to go and clean again if told they need to. Within the washroom area by the ballroom, for the ladies there is the toilets area as well as an area with mirrors for you to check your clothing and make-up. There are stool style seats in this area.
Music for your Event
For the music for your ceremony at Claridges, you can have a sound engineer with PA equipment who can play your playlist or you can have musicians who can play your chosen music. Perfect Events for Claridges London
Claridges would be a great venue for your Multicultural Celebrant led Wedding Ceremony or Renewal of Vows Ceremony. You can be a couple coming from another country who love London or have always wanted to get married in London, or a couple who are based in the Uk. The venue is in the heart of Mayfair and gives you access to go and see London by day and by night.
